Beginning 10-1-17 CMS (Medicare) will begin denying beneficiaries claims for healthcare where there was a liability settlement or judgement where the services sought were covered by the settlement/judgement. In the case of a settlement a detailed LMSA needs to be prepared, submitted and approved by CMS to protect the defendant and its insurer. The panel will discuss ways to insure your clients do not come knocking at your firms door weeks, months or years after you've closed your file.
