This CLE focuses on key elements of new CBA Ethics Committee Opinion 135. Presenters Kate Strauss and Kendra Beckwith, both members of the CBA Ethics Committee, will conduct a roundtable discussion on the practical application of Opinion 135 to the civil defense bar. Topics include the nature of informed consent and sufficiency of consent, with hypotheticals and discussion on different types of conflict that may arise after retention and the impact on attorney duties of loyalty and confidentiality.
