It is a simple fact: many of Colorado’s top attorneys are members of the CDLA. That quality is our strongest asset, making the CDLA an essential resource to your career. That has never been truer than it is now.

As the economy staggered and stumbled, this organization tapped the resource of its membership to elevate its support-services and boost opportunities for growth and networking. The CDLA listserve have emerged as perhaps the single most important benefit to your practice. Recent improvements to the CDLA website enable you to instantly access the experience and knowledge of our 700+ members. Imagine the hundreds of thousands of hours of experience to which that connects you. We also implemented email blasts and now the Weekender to alert members of notable rulings and events.

Beginning in 2009, the CDLA introduced free networking CLEs throughout the year. A smattering of those would have enabled you to earn 20 hours of CLEs – Free! and we will continue to offer the same aggressive informational programs in 2010. Past events covered, Voir Dire, Construction Defect cases, Hemmat vs. Patterson, Depo 101’s, Medicare / Medicade, with receptions afterwards. We have continued to support diversity through law school scholarships, contributions to various chapters of the CBA, members on Law Line 9, and financial support of pro bono programs. In response to membership input we created the Construction Law Committee, the Employment Law Committee, Membership Committee and a CLE Review Committee.

The Annual Seminar is our flagship event. Its success dictates the CDLA’s ability to add value to your practice throughout the year. The CDLA strongly encourages your continued support. Your membership is essential to funding the many resources and member benefits that support your practice.
